Emily Lim

Principal, Piano Specialist

Bachelor of Music (Honours)

Emily began her musical journey at the tender age of four, developing a deep-rooted passion for the piano. Throughout her school years, she was actively involved in various musical ensembles, including the wind band, Chinese orchestra, and choir, which enriched her experience and versatility as a musician.

 

Emily holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the Royal College of Music, in collaboration with the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), where she majored in piano performance. She studied under the guidance of Dr. Nellie Seng (NAFA) and Professor Nigel Clayton (RCM), both esteemed educators and performers.

 

In addition to her teaching and solo performance work, Emily is also an experienced piano accompanist. She regularly collaborates with instrumentalists and vocalists in examinations, performances, and competitions, bringing sensitivity and musical insight to every partnership.

 

With extensive experience in both teaching and performing in Singapore, Emily is a dedicated and passionate educator. She is committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians and looks forward to guiding her students on an inspiring and fulfilling musical journey.

Jacky Ng

General Manager, Woodwinds Specialist

Bachelor of Music (Honours)

Jacky Ng is a distinguished Suona and Guan musician known for his versatility and dynamic presence across both traditional and contemporary music platforms. Recognised for his innovative cross-cultural collaborations, he seamlessly bridges Chinese classical traditions with modern and cross-genre expressions, captivating audiences locally and internationally.

A graduate of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in partnership with the University of the Arts Singapore (UAS), Jacky holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours). He has since established himself as one of Singapore’s leading Suona soloists, performing in numerous concerts, festivals, and large-scale productions, and collaborating with prominent ensembles and orchestras across the region.

Beyond the stage, Jacky is a passionate educator with over a decade of teaching experience. He serves as a Chinese Orchestra Woodwinds Instructor in multiple schools, nurturing the next generation of musicians with both technical excellence and artistic sensitivity.

He is a Suona musician with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.

Li You

Guzheng Specialist

Bachelor of Music (Honours)

Master of Education (Music)

Li You is a dedicated Guzheng performer and educator, currently pursuing a Master of Education (Music) at Nanyang Technological University. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in partnership with Royal College of Music (RCM).

She has trained under esteemed mentors including Yin Qun, President of the Singapore Qinzheng Association, Cheng Haoru from the Central Conservatory of Music, and Professor Sha Lijing from Shenzhen University, developing strong artistic and pedagogical foundations.

Li You is a recipient of the Gold Award at the Nanyang International Music Competition and First Prize (Ensemble) at the Singapore Chinese Music Competition. She was also honoured with the Excellent Tutor Award at the Central Conservatory of Music National Youth Arts Exhibition.

She is passionate about nurturing students with strong fundamentals while inspiring a genuine love for music through learning and performance.

Eugene Chua

Cello Specialist

Bachelor of Music (Honours)

A graduate of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
Eugene has performed with local orchestras such as Orchestra of Music Makers, Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra and Metropolitan Festival Orchestra. He has also participated in the International cello Festival and Competition and Singapore Raffles International Music Festival in both solo and chamber groups and won several awards. 

 

He began his studies with Natasha Liu Jun Yan, and later Juan Lin when he pursued his Diploma in music. Later he was awarded a full scholarship to study at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Ng Pei Sian and Yu Jing.
 

Eugene’s passion for teaching also made him a well sought-after music educator in the arts scene. He enjoys nurturing new generations of young musicians and hopes to inspire them through his guidance.
